Another rate hike?
Economists and investors alike pre-
dict the Federal Reserve will raise
interest rates again this week.
The announcement is expected
today, after the central bank wraps
up its first policy meeting under
Jerome Powell’s leadership. The
Fed raised its benchmark
short-term interest rate three times
in 2017 and in December projected
three more rate increases in 2018.
Investors will be listening for any
hints that the Fed plans additional
rate hikes this year.
Housing bellwether
Economists project that sales
of previously occupied homes
edged up in February.
The pace of U.S. home
sales slowed in January for the
second month in a row. Rising
prices and a shortage of homes 5.5
for sale have stymied some
would-be buyers. The National
Association of Realtors is
expected to report today that
sales rose to a seasonally
adjusted annual rate of 5.4
million last month.
Appetizing results?
General Mills serves up its $70
latest quarterly report card
today.
Financial analysts predict
the company’s fiscal
third-quarter earnings and
revenue increased from a
year earlier. That would be a
better showing for the maker
of Cheerios cereal, Yoplait
yogurt and other packaged
foods, which posted a decline
in earnings in the previous
quarter.

Stitch Fix, the styling service that sends outfits to

quarterly earnings last week. But the company is
still in vogue with some Wall Street analysts.
Analysts at GBH Insights and William Blair

boost revenue, according to the company.
Analysts at GBH Insights called Extras
“another growth avenue” for Stitch Fix. And
William Blair analysts said they believe the
company’s 24 percent increase in revenue was
due to Extras and the “continued strength” of its

Stitch Fix’s shares,
