Minutes
May 8, 1979, regular meet-
ing of City Council at 5 p.m.
Three commissioners were
present. Doyle Smith, Mayor
Pro-tern, presided over the
meeting. The mayor had to be
away on business.
Minutes of the previous
meeting were approved as
read.
Witford Millsap’s motion to
pay bills was seconded by
Bettie Hall.
Wilford Millsap made a
motion to buy spray to sterilize
ground to kill weeds at corners
and sidewalk. Seconded by
Bettie Hall. Instruct Jerry to
use with discretion.
Discussed rules and regula-
tions of City Hall. Each bring
suggestionsto the next meeting
and will adopt some rules at
that meeting.
Small Cities Association
tabled for now.
Discussed local implementa-
tion of Statewide Housing
Assistance Payments Pro-
gram. Bettie Hall made the
motion to adopt the resolution
authorizing execution of con-
tract with Texaa Department
of Community Affairs. Sec-
onded by Wilford Millsap.
Passed and approved this 8th
day of May. 1979.

visit with Bro. and Mrs.
Robert Cavitt in Lubbock. Bro.
L.C. preached a weekend
revival there at Plains Baptist
Church.

Weaver and family of Waco
as well as Delbert and Faye
Williams of Kermit.

of Watauga, Mr. and Mrs.

Mrs. L.C. Landers over the
weekend.

Baptist Church to Mrs. Leota
Powers (oldest mother), Pat
Buckley (mother of most chil-
dren present), and Belinda
Martin (youngest mother).
Mr. and Mrs.Darrell Morgan
of Granbury visited her moth-
er, Mr. and Mrs. L.E. Single-
ton, on Sunday.

social was Monday at the local
cafe with several attending.

shut-ins and hospiul patients.
