By UElfe Monte
We almost had a blackberry
winter this past week. For
•bout three days, coats and
sweaters were back in style.
There wasn't r Mother
forgotten at Bur-Mont,families
here galore.
The Mother's Day menu
consisted of fried chicken,
gravy, creamed potatoes, but-
tered peas, and angel food
cake.
Valera Key's family dined
here with her as did the Mary
Fisher family, Lela McCay's,
and Fannie Ragsdale's.
Those going out for Saturday
or Sunday were Buelah Ander-
son. Jimmie Warren. Florence
Acrea. Lenna Camp, Clara
Ware, Guy Douglas, Mamie
Wilkerson, Mertie Kea, Clara
Hill, Georgia Carleton, Clydie
Frost, Kirk George, and Bertie
Henderson.
Sharing with us from the St.
Joe Baptist Church is the '

ory of Retta Dossey.
Eleven home economic girls
identified themselves to their
Secret Grandmother Friday at
which time each grandmother

was given an arrangement a
little larger than a "Tussie
Mussie."

visiting friends on Thursday,

ton visited his father, John
Graham.

Abilene, Mr. and Mrs. B. J.
Scott and Katrina of Fort
Worth.

Dale, Jack and wife visited

recuperating from a broken
hip.

Joiner. Mr. and Mrs. Robert
Myers.
Roy Hill was here from
Abilene to visit Clara Hill.

from children and grandchil-
dren and a visit with her son.

Debbi was sick with a throat
infection. I’ve been hearing
tales about that Jerry being a
“home run” hitter and he can
run fast as lightning!

Thanks to you good people
who keep us supplied with a
nice variety of magazines.
Anna Jarvis may have been
upset because the florist did a
booming business on Mother's
Day, but when that florist
walked to my door with an
arrangement of red carnations
old LuElle's day was made.
Come visit us at Bur-Mont
and be sure to register in the
guest book.
CARD OF
THANKS
We would like to thank you
for the closeness and support
you gave us during our time of
sorrow. The knowledge of your
prayers is a source of strength.
Most importantly, we thank
you for being the friends, the
teachers, the greater family,
who made Jean's life here a
happy one.
