The Shake takes the stage, at
eleven a.m.. rhythm ft blues

At 1:00 p.m. “Super
Mariachi Clasico Lopez" takes
the stage, sponsored by
Aransas Pass' own Laredo
Cafe. This area favorite plays
again later on Saturday.
The Peruvian Band
"Wayanay" returns to the
Shrlmporee. bringing with it
the engaging sounds that
patrons found unique last
year.
The crowd will think it is
in "margarltavllle*" when “Key
West" takes the stage at two
p.m. This seven piece group
will be the delight of any par-
rotheads in the audience, as
it plays both original and
cover tunes that make the lis-
tener think they are on the
beach of a tropical paradise.
Key West halls from the

sponsored at the Shrlmporee
by Coots Beer.
The evening heats up as
regional dance band “The
Border" takes the stage. The
Border routinely plays pre-
dominately country music
with a delicate seasoning of
classic rock and some tejano
to fans up and down the Gulf
Coast and Into Central Texas.
The Border first takes the
stage at 6:30 p.m. and then
again at 8:00p.m., opening
for Saturday nights featured
entertainment.
Nashville recording Artist
Mila Mason is scheduled to
take the stage at nine p.m.
Mason, an Atlantic recording
artist Is one of many upcom-
ing Nashville risers currently
being aligned for great things.
Mason’s performance for the
Shrlmporee is being under-
written by K99 radio and
Miller Lite.
Performing throughout the
grounds on Saturday and
Sunday will be Claude Sims.
Comedy Juggler. Sims' jug-
gling antics date from the
days of the earliest circus
arts through modern juggling
techniques.
Sunday brings the return
of Comle Ventriloquist Joe
Gandehqan and mends to
the Shrlmporee. Hailing from
San Diego, California,
Gandelman appears with a
multitude of characters In a
show aimed to please the
entire family.
The main stage gets fired
up again on Sunday morning
with Wilfred Chevls and the
Texas Zydeco Band. Chevls. a
Louslana native has played
hundred of events from his
current base in the Houston
area over the past several
years. Much of Chevls’ music
could be characterized as
Zydeco with a hint of R&B.
This six piece band will take
the stage first at eleven a.m..
performing traditional zydeco
tunes as well as cuts from
their current album entitled
Makln It Back To Louisiana.
Scott Hoyt, once considered
“the best kept secret in
Texas" Is returning to the
Shrlmporee. Hoyt appeared
here a few years ago. Hoyt, an
original member of the 1960’s
'Grass Roots' rock band,
switched gears to follow his
heart into country music
more than a decade ago. After
several appearances on The
Nashville Network’s Network'
Now and videos on the
Wilfred
Country Music Network. Hoyt
was picked up by a major
booking agency in Nashville
Is currently being courted by
several record labels. This Is
truly a luxury In a world
where any record label would
will perform
do for many artists. Hoyt’s
appearance at the
Shrlmporee Is being under-
written by Coors Light. Hoyt
will perform at 12:00 and
2:00 p.m. on Sunday after-
noon.
