The annual College Day will be
Monday, Dec. 5, from 7 to 8:30.
This includes three sessions
during which students and their
parents will meet college
representatives to explore the
colleges or universities of their
choice.
Booths for the colleges will be
set up in rooms along the English
hall and in the library. College
identification will be posted
outside rooms. Most colleges use
a question and answer system,
but some have a slide show or
film.
College day is actually an
event for Parker County, since it
includes surrounding high
\
schools. Although open ,lo all
grades, Seniors are the pri\nary
focus group. Usually about 200
students participate, speaking
with 30 to 35 colleges and
universities representatives.
“We feel it is a good op-
portunity for the studnets and
their parents to get a taste of the
colleges,’’ says Mrs. Glynda
Haney, junior-senior counselor.
She also suggests that students
have questions in mind to ask
representatives: “Have ten
questions to ask three different
schools.” says Mrs. Haney.
