Special meetings are set this
week at First Assembly of God,
with Pastor Coy R. Barker of
Oklahoma City, Okla. as special
guest minister.
Pastor Barker is senior pastor of
Faith Tabernacle in Oklahoma
City, Oklahoma’s fastest growing
church of all denominations
surveyed last year. Under his
direction, the church has grown
from 350 to over 2^XX) in six years.
He employs a ministry and

Smyer Volunteer Fire Depart-
ment will sponsor a basketball
game with the fire department
volunteers against teachers at
Smyer. The game will be held this
Friday, March 3 at 7:30 p.m. at the
gym.
Tickets are adults-$2, students-
$1, and children under 5-free.
There will be a cake auction
during half-time and also door
prizes will be awarded.
The fire department is working
to provide a community time and
they would like to invite the com-
munity to this benefit to have a
good time and to show their sup-
port for our fire department
The fire department was called
out Friday afternoon to control a
grass fire that started at the ceme-
tery and spread west to Anderson
Grain. The fire moved over to
Raymond Belew’s bams, but the
firemen put it out before any
damage was done.
