SUMMER PROGRAM
Now that the summer baseball
program has a permanent home,
and reliable personnel to head the
program, there are several knotty
problem* that should be brought
to their attention Edwards Mem-
orial Park needs • face lifting. The
Infield is more like an obstacle
course than a baseball diamond
The dugouts need repairing com
pletely. with new wire, roof and
seats Those item* are yearly prob
lems. but next season there must
be an enlarging of the present
program. Each team has at least
ten boy* in excess of their allowed
strength, and something must be
done with them. This year there
are not enough' twelve and eleven
year old boys to add two teams
to the league, but next season two
mill>■ will be a mud
These fellows have another
complete league to organize in the
very near future. Some of our po-
pulation are wanting a program
and deserve one. so we will alt be
ready to pitch in and do our part
