HUNTINGTON LIBRARY
A letter from Mr. R. O. Schad, in
charge of Public Exhibitions of Henry
E. Huntington Library and Art Gallery,
San Marino, California, is quoted below
for information:
"March 19, 1934.
"Dear Admiral Sellers:
"During the brief visit which you
and your staff paid to our Exhibition
last week several officers expressed a de-
sire to return and some spoke of the
difficulty of arranging their plans suffi-
ciently in advance to write for cards of
admission. We should like the officers
and men of the U. S. Navy in these
waters to know that they are always
most welcome to visit the Exhibitions
during open days and hours, and that in
cases where time does not permit writ-
ing for cards they may arrange admis-
sion for themselves and guests by tele-
phoning the Exhibition Office (Pasadena
telephone: Wakefield 6141) as late as the
morning of the proposed visiting day.
"I am enclosing a copy of the "In-
formation for Visitors" sheet which
names our visiting days and hours. If
more information is desired we should
be glad to forward it.
"Hoping we may have the pleasure
cf numbering many of your officers and
men among our guests, I am
Sincerely yours,
Is' Robert O. Schad
