for Miguel Q. Rocha, Sr.
Funeral services for Miguel
Quiroz Rocha, Sr., 36, were held at
9 a.m. Saturday, July 24, in St.
Michael’s Catholic Church with
Father Glenn Rosendale officiating.
Burial followed at 11 a.m.
Saturday in the Petersburg
Cemetery under the direction of
Head Family Funeral Home.
Rosary was held at 7 p.m.
Fnday at Head Family Funeral
Home Chapel.
He died Wednesday, July 21,
1999 in Levelland.
He was bom November 10,
1962 in Lubbock.
He married Susie Hernandez on
July 20, 1984 in Baltimore,
Maryland.
He was a life-long Texan and
had lived in Levelland most of his
life. He was a veteran, serving in
the Marines. He was the owner of
Circle Glass and Mirror in
Levelland.
Survivors include his wife,
Susie Rocha of Levelland; sons
Miguel Rocha Jr. and Steven
Zachary Rocha, both of Levelland;
daughters Chelsie Loraine Rocha
and Christina Rebecca Rocha, both
of Levelland; his parents, Manuel
and Filomena Rocha of Petersburg;
his brother, Juan Rocha of Austin;
his sister, Mary Lou Rocha of
Smyer and his grandmothers;
Joventina C. Quiroz of Austin and
Maria Guadalupe A. Rocha of
Smyer.
Pallbearers were Richard
Rocha, Henry Rocha, Juan
Hernandez, Richard Dominquez,
Joe Quiroz and Juan Carlos Rocha.
Honorary pallbearers were:
Miguel Rocha Jr., Steven Zachary
Rocha and Gregory Meliton.

for Ocia O. Foster, 94

TWIN RETIREES - United Cotton Growers lost two longtime employees
with the retirement of Maxine Nelson, left, and Patsy McCulloch. Both
women, whose last day with the company was July 15, were honored
with a reception Thursday morning in Levelland. Mrs. Nelson has been
with the company 28 years and was in charge of scales at UCG’s Whitharral
plant. She plans to do some traveling >vith her husband, Herb, and to "make
the ballgames" with her grandchildren. Mrs. McCulloch spent 35 years
with the company and its predecessors. She had worked in Arnett until
moving to the company’s Levelland office a year ago. She is retiring as
a bookkeeper. Mrs. McCulloch said she has no particular plans but will
do some traveling. (Staff Photo)

Ocia O. Foster, 94, of Lubbock, at
11 a.m„ Saturday, July 24,1999, at
Ellis Funeral Home Chapel, with
Hollis Shewmake, pastor of
Bledsoe Baptist Church, officiating.
Burial followed in Morton
Memorial Cemetery.
She died Thursday, July 22,
1999, at University Mano Nursing
Home in Lubbock.
She was bom on January 8,
1905, in Jack County, TX. She
married Joseph Nace Foster in
Henrietta, TX on May 9, 1925. He
died on March 10,1958.
She moved in 1931 to Bledsoe
from Phoenix, AZ. She moved to
Levelland from Bledsoe in 1973
and to Lubbock in 1988. She was a
charter member of the Bledsoe
Baptist Church. She worked in the
Bledsoe School lunch room for 20
years. Her husband was serving as
Cochran County Commissioner
when he passed away. She
completed her husband’s term and
retired in 1964.
She is survived by son, L.J.
Foster of Lubbock, daughter,
Dorothy Peurifoy of Artesia, NM;
five grandsons, Randy Foster of
Seattle, WA, Terry Foster of
Lubbock, Chris Foster of
Bakersfield, CA, Britt Foster of
Detroit, MI, and David Peruifoy of
Katy, TX, one grand daughter, Staci
Foster of Lubbock; twelve great
grandchildren.
Casket bearers were Jeremy
Foster, Donald Brown, Raymond
Lewis, Brandon Foster, Nolan
Foster, and Douglas Dunn.

Franklin Bilderback Sr., 74, were
held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 24, at
Dalton and Son Funeral Home
Chapel in Lewisville.
Bilderback, a former Levelland
resident, died Wednesday, July 21,
1999 in Little Elm.
Graveside services will be held
at 1 p.m. on Monday at Resthaven
Memorial Park in Lubbock with
Dalton and Son Funeral Home in
charge of arrangements.

He was preceded in death by his
wife, Jaunita Bilderback in 1981.
He is survived by two sons:
Richard Bilderback Jr. and Blaine
Bilderback; two daughters: Patricia
Bridges and Kizar Hemmingson; a
brother, Leslie Bilderback; two
sisters: Dorthy Hartung and Stella
Lancaster; six grandchildren and
two great-grandchildren.
Sex offender
in Sundown
A convicted sex offender is now
living in Sundown, according to the
city police department.
The offender, a 51 -year-old man,
II was convicted on a charge of
indecency with a child, records
showed.
