son, Texas on a business trip.
They returned late Wednesday.

Lt. W. R. McAfee III is visit-
ing with his parents, Mr. and
Mrs. W. R. McAfee. He is here
on leave before reporting to his
new station in Korea this month.
He will be with the 55th Mil-
itary Police, north of Seol. Lt.
McAfee just completed training
as a parachutist at Ft. Bennin-
gton, Georgia.

Saturday evening at the Indian
Teepee Road Side Park. Making
up the group were Kevin Jones,
Brian Hamilton, Steve Bramb-
le tt, Mike Peace, Dalton West,
Raul Ramirez, Dusty Graham,
Kenny Hamilton, Larry Hamil-
ton, and Den Mothers, Mrs. B. K,
Hamilton, and Mrs. J. D. Jones.
The cubs climbed the small
mountains near the park, after
roasting hot dogs. They played
tag. Mr. Hamilton joined the
group after the feast.

The Ysleta Independent School District will be host for the
All-Day Conference of the 15th District, Texas, Congress of
Parents and Teachers, April 22, at Eastwood High School. Dis-
trict 15, one of the largest in Texas will be represented by dele-
gates from Parent-Teacher associations of El Paso, Jeff Davis,
Reeves, Presidio, Culberson and Hudspeth counties.
Dr. J. M. Hanks, superin-
tendent of the Ysleta Indepen-
dent School District, will give
the welcoming address, at the
morning session.
The presentation of the con-
ference theme "P. T. A. Moves
Forward for Children and
Youth", will be followed by a
panel discussion. Mr. Orba
Lee Malone, member of the
school board of the El Paso In-
dependent School District, will
discuss "Extending Education
in the Public Schools": Mr.
Jack McNutt, Administrative
Assistant of the Ysleta Inde-
pendent School District, "Lea-
rning for Earning"; Mr. Jim C.
Goodman, Principal of Marion
Manor Elementary School, "Fi-
nancing Public Education";
Mrs. Gwen Page, Director of
Instruction for Elementary
Schools, "New Resources for
Better Learning. "
The afternoon session beginn-
ing at 1:30 P- m. will include
Local Unit Highlights given by
Mrs. Grant Berry, District Pre-
School Chairman and Mrs. W.
E. Neill, District Parliamen-
tarian, an orientation given by
Mr. Clinton Hartman, District
High School Service Chairman
will precede the workshop sess-
ions. The meeting will conclude
Dell Valley. . . .With five years of success in the grape producing
business, Dell Valley will add to its list of varieties the Eastern
Concord, Muskat and Rubier. Already in production in the Valle
are Thompson Seedless and Cardinals.

Cafe with local business people.
During the luncheon many of
the problems concerning this
area were discussed.

The Sew and Sews Club met
in the home of Mrs. James
Peace. Eight members attend-
ed. The ladies discussed poli-
tics as they worked on their va-
rious sewing projects. The host-
ess served pie and coffee.
