and a half year old daughter

underwent brain surgery for
a blood-clot on the brain
caused by a fall from a
wagon.
She has been released from-
St. Anthony's Hospital in
Amarillo and is reported
to be doing fine at home.
Stephanie is the grand-
daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Louis Bichsel of White Deer
and Mr. Arnold Baten of
Pampa.
Mrs. Julia Powers
Hosts Art Club
Mrs. Julia Powers was
•hostesses for the White
Deer Art Club when they
met Thursday, Nov. 8.
Games of 42 were enjoyed
with high score going to
Mrs. Jessie Lee Kelley.

Student-of-the-Month
The October Student-of-
the Month is Miss Robyn
Ford, a junior, nominated
by the National Honor
Society.
Among Robyns many
achievements are junior
class vice-president, FTA
2nd vice-president, NHS
vice-president, FSA member,
annual staff and basketball
player. Among other out-
standing traits are her
smile and friendliness to
all who know her.
Robyn was selected from

Joy Grange Honored
By Sorority Members
Alpha Theta Omega met
Tuesday, November 6 in
the White Deer Community
Center with President Linda
Kalka presiding.
During the meeting several
items of business were
discussed. Plans were made
for the annual Thanksgiving
Dinner to be held November12. Final plans were dis-
cussed for the dance to be
held Saturday night.
The remainder of the meet,
ing was spent as a baby
shower honoring Mrs. Joy
Grange. -
Hostesses Gwen Bowers,
Diahana Hillman, Linda
Kalka, Barbara Murphree
and Glenda Steed served
cake, punch, and candy
to the honoree and mem-
bers Cecilia Bohannon,
Jan Cox, Doris Freeman,
Kathy Haiduk, Lesa Hodel,
Vicki Kelp, Tonya Martin,
Sharon McConnell, Heidi
Roth, Linda Sutton and
Bobby Thomas. Chris Roth
and Kale Steed were special
little guests.
Dusty Rhoads was the
winner of the food processor
raffled off by Alpha Theta
Omega. Proceeds from the
raffle goes to the scholar-
ship fund.
