Banking on his future
He doesn't look like your average banker. In fact he s a bit shorter than most bankers, but have no doubt that
one day this pint sized fellow will make his mark in the business world. Wes Lewin, right, first grader in Mrs.
Adamek s class at Yoakum Primary, became a "junior banker for the day when he was introduced to the
banking business by Gordon Jones, left, of First State Bank Wes is a GT student in Mrs. Adamek s class and
was chosen by her to take advantage of First State Bank s willingness to share their knowledge with young
students. Wes shared his experience with fellow classmates, and as part of the requirement set by Mrs.
Adamek, will also be writing his own book about his "banking adventure.'

tion in Dallas Sept. 20. The 2003 finalist and nominating districts and education service centers (ESCs) are
