Another week has slipped by and here comes Fair week-
end. Have you picked up a new program book? It s
really up-town and professional looking, very good
job with a completely new format on the ads and
events. Also, there is a beautiful brochure printed
in good colors with good information about the valley

There are lots of fun events planned during fair
time. Come to the events you enjoy. Friday f°otball
game is Homecoming. There will be past residents
DCISD students you will enjoy visiting with.
I know the last rains really turned out black
hay but with the last pretty days it probably
got baled. Hope so!
In talking with Judy Prather, my daughter, (they live
up Pinon way), I learned that they have had about 2
inches of rain for the year and they are really happy
and thankful to the Good Lord.
Connie Gaba wrote me a long letter. Sh® had
damage to her home in El Paso and said the streets
were still a mess. Connie was a past Dell Queen
and rode in the fair parade a few years ago when they
were honored. She went to school here in the sixtie .
Her parents were Hart and Comie.
The worms must really be bad, the yellow ^erflies
are so thick and plentiful. The fly boys have been

To Experience Is To Know
When my family and I were living in Tacoma,
WA we enjoyed the beauty of the Northwest each day.
One of the things that people wanted to see when they
visited was Mt. Rainer. It stood only 35 miles away and
its white glacier top rose 14,000 feet above everything
around it. Many days it would be shrouded in clouds,
you could tell people it was there and how great it was,
but if they couldn’t see it for themselves it was not the
same. They knew where to look, what to expect to see,
how tall it was, and when it appeared to them its beauty
was truly revealed.
If you are searching for Truth, are you listening
to people who have experienced it? Where to look (the
bible), who to talk to (God), and what to expect,
(unexplainable joy and eternal life).

SEE YOU AT THE FAIR!!!
Shirley Richardson called
this morning to say that
Mickey Walker, with her
daughter-in-law had
stopped by the Salt Fl^t
Cafe. Mickey cooked for a
number of years at DCISD
cafeteria. She wanted to
say "Hello" to everyone
who knew her. When I was
working at Cornudas, her
son Tommy stopped in
several times and we
visited.
'Til next week.
