Tony will visit his sister,
brother-in-law and niece who
live in Fulda, West Germany.
His brother-in-law is in the ar-
my and is-stationed in Fulda.
“My sister and niece will tour
with us and show us some of
the places they have already
seen,” said Tony.
While Tony is in West Ger-
many, he plans to go to
cemeteries and look for names
he recognizes on tombstones
He added that his sister has
already found a few. familiar
names of people to whom they
are related.
Tony commented that
things are very different in
Germany including prices and
different types of food He said
that beer, cheese and hard
bread are among the main
foods eaten.
According to Tony, a lot of
preparations had to be made
before the trip. His dad had to
get special permission from
Bill Preston, high school prin-
cipal, for Tony to miss a
month of school. He also had
to - get ahead on his
assignments and has been try-
ing to learn a little of the Ger-
man language from his dad.
Maybe 10 or 20 years from
now, Tony will have a

During his one month visit,
Tony will tour such places as
Holland, Sweden, Austria,

right. Carol Davis's
Homemaking I clasaes are
caring for egg babies. Actual-
ly the classes are studying
child development and are re-
quired to treat an egg like a
real baby for 24 hours.
According to Mrs Davis,
homemaking student teacher,
this is done to teach the
students how to bath, diaper
and burp a baby. Homemak-
ing teacher Gail Haterius and
son, Derrick, gave demonstra-
tions to the classes. The

band had a clinic last Tuesday

department competed in the
district one act play compe-
tion Friday al McMurry Col-
lege in Abilene. They
presented Reynard the Fax,
written by Arthur Fswuex,
and directed by Lillian
Southerland
Competing in the 7-AAA
dlotrict contest were
Breckenridge, Colorado City,
Clyde, Merkel, Wylie and
Stamford.
