the dining room where the dining
table laden with gifts and sur-
rounded by more gifts on the
floor greeted them.
Mrs. Paul Manning, co-hostess,
presented the gifts with the read-
ing of an original skit, entitled,
Mr. and Mrs. of 1849—Mr. and
Mrs. of 1949 which portrayed the
differences in honoring newlyweds
in the olden days and now. After
opening and exclaiming over the
gifts Mrs. Weaver expressed her
thanks to her friends assembled
there.

SISTERS MARRY SAME MAN
Los Angeles, Cal. — Two sisters,
Mrs. Helen Blanc Fisher, 20, and
Mrs. Evelyn Blanc Fisher, 21 are
suing Walter Fisher, 19, for an-
nulment charging that both had
been tricked into marriage by
Fisher, a New York upholsterer.
Helen eloped with him to Las Ve-
gas, Nev., March 16, 1948 and said
he deserted her an hour after the
wedding. Evelyn claimed she mar-
ried the same man on July 3, 1948
in Baltimore. Three months later
she told Helen of her marriage
and learned they had a marriage
in common. Fisher, it seems, was
an old- childhood friend of both
girls.
