Are All Cold
Remedies Alike?
No! For example, 666 is the wide-
activity medicine, which combines 4
of the most effective, widely-pre-
scribed drugs known, to relieve all
cold miseries sooner. 666 is more
potent and gives positive, dramatic,
rapid relief from miseries of all kind ’s
of colds. That’s why 666 is unsur-
passed in effectiveness. Try it.

Clothes stay clean while drying
in an ELECTRIC DRYER
--•
Many a fresh, clean washing has been soiled by
broken clotheslines, children at play, romping pets, or
airborne dust and soot. With an electric dryer, outdoor drying
hazards are eliminated. Your clothes are dried right
on schedule by gentle electric heat... cleaner, softer, fluffier
and even sweeter-smelling than when dried outdoors.
Save time, save work, save clothes ... select an
automatic electric dryer soon.

...with JAMES C. INGEBRETSEN
President, Spiritual Mobilization
The New York Teachers Guild,
a member of the old AFL, re-
portedly adopted a resolution, on
the heels of the recent merger of
the AFL with the CIO, praising
the merger and declaring, “We
look forward to the day . . .
when all teachers will be part of
the organized labor movement.”
Herrick Roth, vice president of
the American Federation of
Teachers, assertedly urged im-
mediate steps to bring about col-
lective bargaining for teachers.
At present there is no State with
legislation sanctioning it.
Action to this end will, in my
Opinion, produce grave problems
for the responsible members of
the still dignified and honorable
profession of teaching as well as
for every panent and every child
of school age.
We have already had isolated
instances of teachers going on
strike and picketing their own
schools while their perplexed
pupils looked on. Are we to
have a whole profession, held in
high esteem since the dawn of
history, to be turned into a com-
mercial labor union? If and
when that day comes, will the
children of America be any long-
er able to look to their school
teachers as friends and instruc-
tors wholly free to dedicate them-
selves solely to their (the chil-
dren’s) welfare?
