Add. too, to today’s history-making enterprises the
magic of computing machines which are almost human,
hut it took human brains to invent and manufacture them
and it will always take humans to improve them. While all
this has been going on. railroads and steamship lines have
been making history with faster and safer service, plus com-
forts and conveniences unknown to such carriers not many
years ago. The medical profession has also kept pace in mak-
ing history. So have any number of other enterprises which
are constantly improving all kinds of appliances and other
commodities necessarily needed to
today’s mode of living.
We should not !o <- -ight

Constitution.
Primarily an intra-country enterprise, Montague coun-
tians who were watching a couple of weeks ago, witnessed ai tij ,uoii ,
the expansion of television into an international enterprise ind &' Exec to Carl "shurtleff:
When, during two special Telstar broadcasts, Europeans; a M Hamilton et ux to Thur-
naw American scenes “live” and Americans, in
Europe’s famous landmarks, also “live.”
of both continents were shown “live” pictures of the intri-
cate, delicate and almost unbelieveable scientific instruments
by which these broadcasts were made possible.
Considering that television was but a dream only a
decade ago and a reality in Montague county onlv ten years
ago, it can readily be supposed that its potential is unlimit-
ed. It can hardly be imagined today what it will be in
another ten to twenty years. Simultaneous with televis-
ion’s great strides is man’s historic exploration into the
heretofore unknown space around the earth. A person
