After Nov. 1, 2012, the Sanger News will convert to paid circu-
lation. The one-year subscription price is $23 for Denton Coun-
ty, $28 for out-of-county but in Texas, and $32 for out-of-state.
For those of you who were previously paid subscribers to the
Sanger Courier, the Sanger News will put you on our mailing
list effective November 1 at NO CHARGE for the duration of
your previous subscription to the Sanger Courier if you let us
know that you were a former subscriber. For example, if you
had renewed your Sanger Courier subscription in March of
2012, beginning November 1 we will mail you the Sanger News
FREE through March of 2013. Here are the ways to contact
the Sanger News if you were a former subscriber to the Sanger
Courier:
The weekly deadline to submit news articles, photos, and let-
ters to the editor is each Tuesday at 10 a.m. Items accepted
after the deadline will be published only as time and space
permit. Publication of all terns is at the sole discretion of the
publisher. The weekly deadline to submit display advertising is
each Monday at 5 p.m. The weekly deadline to submit a classi-
fied ad is each Tuesday at 2 p.m.
The Sanger News s published weekly, each Thursday, by
Lemons Publications Inc.
Through Nov. 1, 2012, the Sanger News will be mailed FREE
to every home in Sanger, zip code 76266. Newsstand copies
are available Wednesday afternoons at local convenience stores

born July 2, 1945 in Denton
County. She died Septem-
ber 27, 2012 in Gainesville,
Texas at the age of 67.
Her parents were Albert
Harvey and Mary M. How-
ard. They preceded her in
death. She also was preced-
ed in death by her daughter,
Marissa D’An Eldridge and
her brother, Richard Har-
vey.

held on Tuesday, October 2,
2012 at 11 a.m. at the Den-
ton Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial followed at Roselawn
Memorial Park Cemetery in
Denton, TX. Avelio Rome-

Billy Joe Thomas, 81,
of Sanger (Gribble Springs),
passed away on Sunday,
Septem-
ber 30,
2012 at
his home.
He was
born Sep-
tember 5,
1931 at
Gribble
Springs to
Odie F.
and Mary
Fee (Cryer) Thomas. He was
a graduate of Roanoke High
School, and a member of
the Gateway United Baptist
Church in Denton. He was
a retired welder and pipefit-
ter. He was married to Doris
Elaine Woodruff on June 6,
1950 in Roanoke, TX and
she passed away on Decem-
ber 21, 2008, then he mar-
ried Marjorie Sturdevant
Irick on October 5, 2009 in
Denton. He was a member
of the Kennewick, WA Ma-
sonic Eodge, Plumbers and
Pipefitters Union #598, and
delivered Meals on Wheels
for Metro Port in Roanoke
and Trophy Club.
Mr. Thomas is survived
by his wife, Marjorie Thom-

Cynthia Ann Maloney and
husband, Tom of Tacoma,
WA, Marilyn Sue Caudill
of Albany, OR; sons, Jerald
Wayne Thomas of Baker,
