Wee Football Team held its
annual Awards Banquet Jan.
18 . at Mound Elementary
School.
Approximately 125 parents,
players and guests attended the
banquet Special guests includ-
ed Mr. J. L. Hughes, School
Superintendent, Mr. Donald
Principal of Mound
Mr. and Mrs. Bill
President Burleson
Jaycees, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry
Rogers, Coach of the 80 Lb. 1
Team, and Mr. Ray Renfro of
the Celeveland Browns.
Renfro was tha principal
speaker of the evening. Three
times elected all proud twice
elected Most Valuable Player .
for the Browns. Renfro had ,
many interesting and amusing
anecdotes to relate. On the ser-
ious side, however, Renfro said
“Without Faith, Desire, Sports-
manship, and Hard Work, you’ll
never succeed.”

Each team member voted by
secret ballot to elect the Most
Valuable Player, the Most Out-
standing Player and the Most
