JULY BOARD MEETING: In addition to action resulting in announcements
carried elsewhere in this Newsletter, the Board approved:
1.Purchase of typewriter for Editor's use in production of Quarterly.
2.Reimbursement of one-half the installation fee for extra phone line
at President's home. Monthly charges to be oaid by President.
3.The rental of storage space for DGS publications yet to be sold &
for miscellaneous material belonging to the Society.
MESQUITE VORKSHOP: "GenealoRical Research in North Carolina State
Archives" is the title, and Mr. George Stevenson from N.C. Archives
is the speaker for the Mesquite Genealogical Workshop. 310 & 112

JUNE MINUTES: At our last meeting, the speaker, Bill Hadsky, reminded
us in a humorous way that history and genealogy must be pursued
together. Alene McCrary conducted a lovely installation ceremony.
Helen Lu concluded a tremendously productive year as President with
the presentation of DGS keys to our new President, Minnie Champ.
(The supoort of every member could make this another good year.)
