have returned home from Ok-
lahoma City, where they visited
their daughter and her family,
Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Reed. They
were accompanied by their
grandchildren Ann, Brad, and
Chaplin Randall Rogers and
family, stationed at Grand Prai-
rie, was a guest speaker at the
Crowley Methodist Church on
last Sunday night. Chaplin
Rogers, a former pastor of the
Methodist church, showed slides
of his trip to the Holy Land.
After the services refreshments
were served.
Mr. and Mrs. H, W. Walls
have as their guests their daugh-
ter and her family, Mr. and Mrs.
Douglas Hughes and son. Mr.
Hughs is now stationed with
the Air Force at Oklahoma
City.
Sabin Oral Polio vaccine will be
given on Sunday, July 29 and
August 5 at the Crowley Fire
Hall from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Everyone in the Crowley area
is urged to take advantage of
this opportunity to receive this
vaccine.
This week Ray runningham
has been attending the State
Fireman’s Training School held
at Texas A & M College at
Bryan. Texas.

From Vacation Trip
Mr. and Mrs. W. D, Yates
have returned from a vacation
trip that carried them through
Arkansas, Tennessee, Alabama,
Mississippi and Louisiana.
They report seeing a lot of i
beautiful country, but were j
glad to get back to “good old
Texas.”

tour of several of the large
cities of eastern United States.
A miscellaneous bridal tea,
honoring Mrs. Stewart Huff-
man was given in the home of
Mrs. Roy S. Mercer Sr., Friday,
July 20, from 2 until 4 p. m.
Refreshments were served from
a table laid with a lace cloth
over pink and decorated with
pink carnations. The bride and
those serving wore pink carna-
tion corsages.
Miss Linda Bryant served at
the punch bowl and Miss Mela-
[ nie Mercer presided at the
bride’s book registering forty-
five guests.
Mrs. Huffman is the former
Miss Shelia Key, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Key.
