Plants Rower Bed
At City Hall
Brownie troop 389 planted the
flower bed in front of City Hall
last Wednesday. They received
permission to plant the bed
from Doe Ward. City Manager.
Judge Delbert Bailey donated
canna bulbs and Mrs. Deering
donated idfto* plants. The
troop has 33 members and four
leaders.

offense went to Gregg Erwin at
end. BHI Rushing at guard, and
Wayne Rogers at halfback.

were unanimous choices for the

On defense, the Elks placed
3 boys on the firsUteam with
Joey Parks unanimous choice
at defensive end and Charlie
Crouch unanimous choice at de-
fensive guard. The other Elk

trict 5 AAR were 1st Axle, 2nd
Brewer, tie for 3rd t between
Burleson and Carter Riverside,
Sth to Como, 6th to Everman,
and 7th between Lake Worth
and Diamond Hill. The district
Champion Axle placed 4 on the

The Concert Bsnd snd Choir
will present both traditionsl
and contemporary mlcctions.
The Art Depertment will have
sn exhibit in the lobby based
on the theme of “Twelve pays
of Chri»tmad\t Burleson High.”
All are cordially invited. Ad-
mission is free. This special
Christmas Progrsm will appeal
to those of all ages, and it is
hoped that this will become a
traditional observance
Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony To Be Held Saturday Night At 7:30
Mayor Clayton Boyd will be piaster of ceremonies at the tree lighting Saturday
night, Dec. 14th at 7:30 p.m. at the City Hall. The Jaycees furnished the tree, and
Volunteer Firemen wired the tree. Everyone is invited to attend. Santa^Claus* will
be there — and coffee and hot chocolate will be served after the program.

‘ 1968 — Lane Wood, Inc. has
announced the signing of a con-
tract for the purchase of Ra-
' nada Mobile Homes, Inc. of AL
-varado, Texas. Mthough the
contract is subject to normal
corporate approvals, it is an-
ticipated that the acquisition
will be completed shortly.
Lane Wood announced its in-
tention to enter the mobile
home manufacturing business
in its quarterly report to stock-
