Kenneth Simmons was the
winning pitcher striking out 10
out of 12 batten th<t faced
him. Charlie Crouch pitched the
last 3 innings Burleson accu-
mulated 11 runs on 11 hits with
one error. Everman had no runs
on one kit and 2 errors.
Randall McCulloch hit 3 for
4 tripe to the plate and had
4 RPI’a, Danny Simmons went
2 for 3. Allen McVickers 2 for
3, and Leonard Skelton 2 for
4 to lead the Elks batten.

FOR POLICE RESERVE UNIT HERE
Chief of Police Homer Barnes
is in need of applications from
men over 21 years old to be
trained in police work as a re-
serve officer. He hopes to get
12 men in this unit
The reserve officer will ride
one night each week with an
assigned officer from 8 p.m.
until midnight, and work with
officers in directing traffic if
needed and other similar duties.
You will be required to furnish
your own uniform that meets
with the specifications and re-
quirements of Chief of Police.
A Reserve cannot carry fire-
arms.
This unit was approved by
the council at its last meeting.
Those desiring to get in this
unit please call on Chief of
Police Homer Barnes for appli-
cation and rules and regula-
tions. Your application will be
screened, and investigated by
both the police department and
city manager.

Star Barrack* No. 15, which
