The TIGERS like to have had
their hands full with the DeKALB
BEARS last Friday night. They
were a scrappy bunch of boy. and
never did give up. The score was
tied for 8, shor^ime U the first
quarter 7 to 7 and then in the
fourth quarter the BEARS scored
two touchdowns in a row to g4t
the score so close that if they had
scored again before the TIGERS,
they would have been in the lead.
The BEARS were a well-coached
team.
Penalties were costly in the
game with the TIGERS having
three touchdowns called back.
The first was when JOHN STIN-
SON caught a pass in the end-
sone In the second quarter only
to have it etiled back. Then in
the fourth quarter, CHARLES
YATES had a 95-yard kickoff re-
turn and a 75-yard pass run called
back on penalties. YATES said he
at the end of the

trees and brush.
The ease an economics of pas-
ture clearing have been increased
with the presence on the market
of new and better polsions and
equipment used to kill trees.
A portable tree girdler, weigh-
ing 32 pounds, is doing a very
good job in girdling trees. Several
of these girdlers are now in use
in this area. Evidence of their
