Elements of a Spiritual
Life"
love for Jesus, to honor and
serve him in this matter, as
she had done those last
months traveling in his
company. A truly genuine
and dynamic spiritual life is
an expression of a great
compulsion and conviction,
that God has laid hold on
our lives.
We find in Mary's life
the realization of a great
need, the acceptance of a
great salvation, the pouring
out of a great gratitude, and
the living in the grips of a
great compulsion. There is
no great, deep, satisfying,
blessed life of faith without
these elements. Much spiri-
tual unrest, much shallow
and self-serving religion of
our time is due to our fail-
ure to understand and
develop these essential ele-
ments of a dynamic spiritu-
al life.

the sinner’s prayer in perfect

looked at one another in
amazement and said this kid
is speaking perfect English.
Repeating, this is where we
will plant a church building
so the people will have a
secure place to come and
worship.
Next we visited the vil-
lage of Ocotillo where the
people had already built the
walls of their church but it
had no roof on it. The people
were worshiping under black
paper they had spread over
the sides of the walls to keep
out the sun and the rain. With
the gifts of those who sup-
port this ministry we were
enabled to buy the materials
for the roof. We had a service
there under the black paper
at 12 noon with a good num-
ber of people attending.
In closing we would love
to share the joyous expert- ■
ence of speaking in one or
maybe the largest churches
of Church of God organiza-
tion in the Country. We min- ,
ister the gospel of Jesus
Christ to at least 1,000 peo-
ple. The results of this serv-
ice was that of a joyous one.
As Bobby and I went
back to our motel room it
would be difficult to describe
the joy that we felt in our
hearts. God had given us the
very best visit that we had
ever experienced in the
Country of Nicaragua.

Report on recent Church
planting in Nicaragua
offered to the organization
you minister in. We gave
thanks to God for giving us
favor with the organization
and with many other events
we encountered such as
going and coming through
customs in Houston and in
Managua.
While in the Country of
Nicaragua many exciting and
wonderful things took place.
We traveled to two remote
areas that had building
needs. The little village of
Tisma where the people had
already secured their lot for a
church building but being
very poor people had no
finance to construct it. So
this is where our work starts,
to raise the funds for the
materials for this building.
This would be quite an
opportunity for anyone who
has a desire to be involved in
missions whose main goal is
to reach the people with the
gospel to bring them to
Christ.
We returned to this vil-
lage on Friday for an evening
service. They were worship
ping under a thatch roof of
tree branches stretched over
some standing poles. They
were a very happy people
and worshiped the Lord with
all their heart. The result of
this service was 20 people
came forward to receive
Jesus Christ as their Savoir
and we witnessed a miracle
in this service as an eight
year old boy begin to repeat
thanksgiving! The hallmark
of Christianity is gratitude.
From the pen of Paul, the
New Testament rings with
praise to God for his good-
ness and to the angels who
cry holy.
The anointing at
Bethany is one of many
examples that reveal that
those closest to Jesus had
no idea what he was talking
about. Mary's act of kind-
ness and Judas's indigna-
tion were not informed as
to the symbolism of the
anointing. Though ulti-
mately proven to be unprin-
cipled, Judas presents him-
self as morally superior to
everyone else at the dinner
party. Mary answered
Judas' question of "Why
was not that perfume sold
for 300 denarii and given to
the poor?” by her great
compulsion to express her
