“Men in Black: International”
This film was a fun romp through
the unseen world of the Men in Black
agencies around the world. The film
mainly focuses around new Agent M,
played by Tessa Thompson, and how she
Living in Denton, there are quite a few options for Latin restaurants.
People may wonder which ones are full of flavor, authenticity and
atmosphere. Here are my top 5 favorite Latin restaurants in Denton.
1. Taqueria La Sabrosita
A 24-hour Mexican joint that’s cheap and dirty in the best way
possible, La Sabrosita has been serving UNT’s half-drunk college
population since 2007. It’s the Whataburger of Mexican joints. Greasy
and definitely unhealthy, it’s the go to place for soaking up beer or
perhaps a casual date. Most of their menu items range from $5.99 to
$7.99. Their biggest plus and the reason they’re number one is the fact
that they are one of the only places in Denton to serve barbacoa, which
is slow-cooked cow tongue and cheek.
2. Mazatlan
A fancier yet still affordable establishment, Mazatlan offers authentic

for! It’s juicy, well-seasoned and as tender as a lover. Come as you are
or dolled up. Watch the Rangers game while you’re at it. They have a
legendary chile relleno that will blow your socks off!
3. Boca 31
Located just off the Square on South Bell Avenue, Boca 31 is a taste of
what Peru has to offer. Their empanadas are one of their most popular
items for a very good reason. They have chicken, spinach and goat
cheese, and guava and cream cheese. Imagine hot pockets but smaller
and without the chemical taste. Boca knows their market — they even
have a few vegan options on their menu. So, vegans rejoice! You too
can enjoy a taco with your buddies instead of eating a “chef salad” that
there’s no way a chef made. Grab a veggie rice bowl or a black bean salad.
4. Taqueria Guanajuato
Stuffed in a liquor store located on East Mckinney Street, named
after the great Mexican state, Taqueria Guanajuato is as authentic as
it gets. They serve everything from caldos, which is a type of Mexican
soup, to gorditas. You can essentially buy every kind of taco you haven’t
they still captured some of the original
essence of the first couple of films.
The movie is honestly very fun. The
action is constantly moving and there
are always new things to see. I never
thought I would see an alien morph
into someone’s facial hair to hide in
plain sight. It does a great job at being
heard of yet. They have asada, al pastor, lengua, fajita and the list goes
on. You get a side of lime and a choice of salsa rojo or salsa verde. Take
it from me, if you can’t handle spicy food, the salsa rojo is the tamer
option. It’s a Mexican mother’s home cooking and they’ll take your order
in English or Spanish with no problem. You can even pick up a serving
of aguas frescas for a palate cleanser. While you’re there, feel free to
stop by the liquor store side and pick up some dried chiles in their mini
market, or perhaps a jug of their best Mexican vanilla.
5. El Chapin
An El Salvadorian establishment less than a mile off campus, El
Chapin is a fairly newjoint to Denton. They have animal-shaped salt and
pepper holders at every table with a friendly staff, but most importantly
they have pupusas. The Mexican quesadilla of El Salvadorian food
the pupusa is a coveted staple and the ultimate comfort food. It’s a
savory, floury coffin for the cheese and meat combos of your choosing.
Traditionally, they are served with a pickled slaw on top to counteract all
the savory goodness.
appreciate a more adult and mature take
from a movie of this genre. I guess Sony
saw the success of films like “Deadpool”
that took a more raunchy approach
which famously did very well.
The sequel is bigger and louder
than any MIB movie, yet so many
pivotal scenes fail to come together
in their entirety. The film both feels
long, chaotic and unexplained as it is
constantly moving and does not give
the proper amount of time for the
characters to develop.
This film was meant to be a reboot
that potentially had sequels lined up
and in the works, but this film sadly
did not have enough push to fulfill that
desire.
All in all, the film has a lot of flaws,
but through it I really enjoyed the ride.
Tessa Thompson and Chris Hemsworth
are a perfect fit for the MIB universe.
Maybe it is my bias as a classic MIB fan,
but the movie really did capture the
imagination of the first couple films and
really bring some awesome action. It is
not a perfect movie, but it is a fun way
of wasting an afternoon. If you are not a
MIB fan, I recommend waiting until it is
on Netflix though before dropping eight
dollars on a movie ticket.

have occupied the galaxy. In the fashion
of most RPGs, the game does not have to
be played sequentially and your actions
have an effect on the gameplay. “The

The Legend of Zelda
Fans of this franchise have been
clamoring for the next release and they’re
getting two things to hold them over.
The developers also announced a sequel
to the much loved “Legend of Zelda:
Breath of the Wild,” which unfortunately
doesn’t have a release date. A remake
of “Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening”
will be released on Sept. 20 of this year,
promising a good dose of nostalgia for
people replaying the game on Switch.
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order
Despite being published by EA, it’s
hard not to feel excited about “Fallen
Order.” Almost resembling the critically
acclaimed and fan-favorite “The Force
Unleashed” franchise, it will give the
player a chance to channel the force
themselves. EA’s previous star Wars
titles receive flack for the lack of force
using and content. “Star Wars Jedi:
Fallen Order” will be released Nov. 15.

Marvel franchise was met with mixed
reviews when the trailer was revealed
on June 10 but it didn’t stop the project
from being one of the most talked about
coming out of the 3-day event. The
developers promised an all new story
that will change the way we look at or
favorite heroes. It will be released May
15 of 2020.
Halo: Infinite
Halo hopes to return to its former glory
as the flagship of Xbox when it releases
along within 2020. The series has taken
a dip with its last two entries. “Halo 4
and Halo 5: Guardians,” but hopes to rise
by doubling down on Master Chief and
finishing the Reclaimer saga that 343
Industries started in Guardians.
Cyberpunk 2077
Originally announced in 2012, it was a
dream come true for many fans to learn
that the game will actually be released
in this lifetime. The surprise of John
Wick himself, Keanu Reeves, having a
starring role in the game is the icing on
the cake. This RPG will transport players
to Night City, where you must navigate
a society contingent on robotics, an
army controlled internet, cybernetic
alterations, and a world so dangerous
that everyone shoots to kill. “Cyberpunk
2077” will be released April 16 of 2020.

E3 2019 has come and gone, leaving
gamers ready to shell out the money
necessary to play all the games that
will come out in the next years. Two
RPG’s competed to show why they’re
the future of gaming, old properties are
being adapted for old audiences, and old
heroes attempt to return to the limelight.
Here’s a list of 10 games featured at E3
that made a big splash.
Gears of War 5
After being announced at last year’s
E3, fans of the action franchise had
been waiting for more news and they
got it when gameplay was showed at X
Box Game Studios presentation on June
9. A sequel to Gears of War 4, the game
centers around Kait Diaz, an Outrider of
Locust descent who attempts to find the
origins of her Locust family. “Gears 5”
will be released Sept. 10, a part of Xbox’s
new Play Anywhere service.
The Outerworlds
From Obsidian Entertainment,
creators of “Fallout: New Vegas,” “The
Outer Worlds” is a new RPG on the scale
of Knight of the Old Republic. It sees
the player wake up on a ship after 70
years in cryosleep to discover the world
is owned by various corporations that
tracks down the MIB in order to find out
more of the secrets of the universe after
an encounter with an alien as a small
child.
The movie has plenty of crazy aliens,
high tech equipment and weapons. The
shift to CGI aliens in this film might
not have been the best decision, but
MIB: International” is an underwhelming continuation
