• Whenever possible, run the fan with
out using the cooling portion of your
unit.
• Place the thermostat on the highest
comfortable setting. For each degree
you raise the air conditioner thermo-
stat you can save at least five percent
on the cost of operation.
• Check the filter periodically, clean-
ing or replacing it as necessary. A
dirty filter makes the air conditioner
work harder to do the same job. Reg-
ular cleaning will also cut down on
repair bills and costly energy waste.
