here, Smith’s Country Store in
downtown Sanger has
everything the aspiring
gardener could hope for.
Homelite products are out in
full force this year, with a wide
variety of products available.
Mowers come with attached
I bags, electric starters and self
propelled motors. Smith’s
carries riding mowers and
garden tractors for larger jobs.
The Homelite trimmers are
available in gas or electric
models, as well as grass
blowers and sprayers. Many
kinds of trimmer accessories
and garden tools are carried by
Smit h’s.

including $765 for altar set,
$700 lectern, $650 altar and
$2,100 for recarpeting the
chapel;
*$16,000 for a station wagon
to furnish transportation for
small groups;
*$300 for six flotation
mattress pads ($50 each), which
can convert between air, water
or gel, to help protect skin;
$1,500 for three specially
adapted reclining geriatric
chairs ($500) each to care for
severely disabled residents;
*$2,350 for covering the
courtyard between the
employee’s lounge and main
building so that area is
protected from weather and
usable year-round.
*$4,100 for various education
equipment including a $2,500
large screen TV, and a $1,600
video camera;
*$6,500 for employees’
scholarship fund for advanced
education.
Already built and in use is
the Cummings Complex
building. It contains a
therapeutic dining room for
residents who need assistance
in eating and also an employee
dining room lounge.
Equipment, furnishings and
ot her improvements are among
the items that will be added at
Denton Good Samaritan
Village's Health Care Center if
its annual fund campaign is
successful this year.
W hat this program does is
to enable us to advance beyond
the basics of good health care
service and provide extra
benefits which add materially
to the quality of care given,"
Administrator Doug
Wuenschel said in a news
release.
The Good Samaritan Caring
Fund, he said, "allows us to
continue to serve our residents
who because of traumatic
illness and rising costs, have
exhausted their own
resources.”
Among the annual fund goals
which will meet specific needs
are these items, totaling
$59,465:
$24,500 for a sun porch
addition for residents and
visitors to enjoy an outdoor
patio area year round;
*$4,215 for an alternate set
of altar furnishings to allow
chapel services in various
other rooms at the facility -
