President Neal Hays has call-
ed a special meeting of the
directors for Jan. 13, 1964.
The Henry H. Norman home,
on the Roy Spratt farm, 4 miles
north of Bolivar, burned Fri-
day, December 20th, at 12:20
p.m.
The Sanger Fire Department
answered the call, but the ho-
use had burned to the ground
when they arrived. Everything
in the home was destroyed.
A shower will be held for the
Norman family on Dec. 29th
at 2130 p.m. in the Bolivar
Baptist Church.
Everyone is Invited to attend.

JUNIOR HIGH WINS
GOODWILL AWARD
Sanger Junior High School has
been announced the winner of
a Goodwill Industries Award
for outstanding participation
in a recent area school drive.
The school won the award for
obtaining 30 per cent or more
participation in the drive to
collect disposable clothing or
household materiab for Good-
will's Dallas Vocational Reha-
bilitation Center. The school
attained a 40 per cent return.
A walnut plaque award, to
be presented to the school, will
read, "Awarded for outstanding
service to the handicapped,
1963."

DIRECTORS MEET
The Denton County Farm Bu-
reau had a meeting of direc-
tors on December 16, 1963.
A minimum of 25 new mem -
bets was set as a quote for the
Denton County Farm Bureau
for 1964 at thb meeting, under
the direction of the president

Mrs. Garman said the am-
ount of material contributed

and officiab for participation
in the project.
Articles collected in the dr-
ive will be repaired by handi-
capped workers a t Goodwill
Industries and sold in non-pro-
fit Goodwill stores. Income
from the sales will make wages
available to the handicapped
men and women from North
Texas who otherwise would be

PRESIDENT EXTENDS •
APPRECIATION
Mr. Howard Mathison has re-
cently received a letter from
M. H. B. Bly, Vice President
of the Denton County Divbion
of the United Fund Campaign,
in which he extended his per-
sonal appreciation for the ef-
forts of Mr. Mathbon and his
fellow workers.
Says Mr. Bly, "You have met
thb community responsibility
well, and although it b a most
difficult task, it b abo, never-
theless, very rewarding. Many
thanks for your interest and
support."
WILSONS INJURED
IN AUTO ACCIDENT
Mr. and Mrs. R.C. Wibon
received slight injuries in a
car accident in Denton Friday.
The Wibons' were traveling
North on North Locust St. when
a vehicle, driven by a college Lona Joyce Snellgrove$5.00
student, came out of Oakland
and struck their automobile.
Both Mr. and Mrs. Wibon
were badly shaken up and are
now taking treatment for their
injuries.

HAS ANNUAL PARTY
The Eastern Star Annual
Christmas party was held in the
home of Mr. and Mrs. Cecil
Jones, with Mrs. O.C. Jirasek
assisting Mrs. Jones as co-hos-
tess.
The home was beautifully
decorated in the Christmas
theme.
The group played *42* and
exchanged gifts from a lovely
Christmas tree.
The meal was served buffet
style to 15 members and 2 gu-
ests, Mr. Bill Davenport and
M. Marcus Heffley.
