ITS A STEAL-One of the reasons for the Burleson
Elkettes perfect 8-0 record so far this year has been the
alert and agressive play of the defense. In three games in
the recently completed Burleson Tournament, they
allowed as many as 10 points to be scored in a quarter
only four times. In their most recent win, Monday night
over Grand Prairie, Marti English steals the ball away
from a Grand Prairie girl who is in the act of shooting
[side photo] and [above] English [35] looks on while
Rebecca Lemma makes a steal and passes the ball off to
Nancy Smith [41]. Star Staffotos by Kelly Ham.
