Distinguished Non-Jews to Be
Guests at Interfaith Seder
Four distinguished non-Jewish clergy-
men will be the guests of the Beth Yesh-
urun Men’s Club at the Annual Passover
Interfaith Seder on Tuesday evening,
April 5th. They will be: Father J. E.
Christensen, who is the Interfaith Chair-
man of the Catholic Diocese of Houston
and Galveston; Dr. and Mrs. J. Walter
Dickson, Jr., who is the President of the
Houston Ministerial Association; Dr. and
Mrs. Lewis H. McAdow, of the Bethany
Christian Church who meet with us an-

Father Charles Schoppe of the St. Thom-

have begun a new tradition this year of
joining in our brotherhood dinner.
The Seder will be conducted by the

The Shape of Brilliance To Be
Diamond Anniversary Theme
In an imaginative interpretation of its
diamond anniversary, the Sisterhood of
Congregation Beth Yeshurun, in concert
with Battlestein’s and Tiffany & Co., will
present “The Shape of Brilliance,” at its
annual donor luncheon on Tuesday:
March 29, 11:30 a.m. in Pulaski-Rauch
Auditorium.
With a sweep of color, top-hattec
doormen will usher guests into marbled
halls where, amidst a background of
sparkling brilliants streaming from
stained glass windows, a cosmopolitar
combination of diamonds and damsels
will add a glamourous glow to dramatic
staging, designed especially to be seer
by large groups of people.
Asian red and pink will predominate in
entertainment areas including, in addi-
tion to the gem and gown gala, the hos-
pitality room over which costumed cham-
pagne ladies will preside beside bubling
fountains. Here also will be shown, in a
pre-luncheon fillip, table displays of ver-

of the leading Cantors of the country
and is an artistic performer of Cantorial
music.
Cantor Sanders was born in Navaridog.
Poland and came to the United States
at the age of 12. He studied at Yeshiva
Chaim Berlin in Brooklyn, New York and
was graduated with honors from the
School of Sacred Music, Hebrew Union
College, New York City.
Cantor Sanders served Hollis Hills
Jewish Center, Queens, New York from
his graduation until 1962 when he ac-
cepted his present position in Dallas.
While in New York, in addition to his
own congregational and concert work.
Cantor Sanders was active with the New
York Cantors Concert Ensemble and, as
a solist with them, made numerous ap-
pearances through the media of concert
