Pat Tesek of Port I^avaca says it
came as a total surprise when radio
station KXGC-FM of El Campo
telephoned her at work during a con-
test An even bigger surprise follow-
ed when she actually won the con-
test Tesek now has $120 in gilt cer-
tificates
"They asked to pick the song that
was playing now’," says Tesek.
"They gave me a list of the top ten
hits and I picked the one 1 liked. Say
You, Say Me " The song she hap-
pened to pick was the one playing,
making her the winner of the gilt
certificates
Tesek says that at first she
thought the whole thing was so-
meone playing a joke on her But the
reality ol the contest was confirmed
when she received an official letter
in the mail Wednesday The letter is
to verity that she is the w inner of the
six $2() gift certificates from El Cam-
po businesses
She is employed as a secretary-
receptionist w ith WSP Construction
Co. Inc in Port Lacava
