Ambassador Herzog’s one-man battle against the
enemies of Israel will go down in modern diplomatic
history. And at his October 25 lecture, the Ambassador
will give his views on the important events now taking
“At the United Nations, I have
listened to a continuous outpour-
ing of attacks and accusations
against Israel on every conceiv-
able subject... In that Orwellian
atmosphere it has fallen to my lot,
time and again, to present Israel’s
case and to answer our critics. All

self alone.”
place in the Middle East ... in particular, the hopes for
peace as a result of Camp David, based on his intimate
knowledge of Arab power politics and the rivalries within
the Arab camp.
The Feinsteins cordially invite all Beth Yeshurun mem-
bers and their families to meet Chaim Herzog and discuss
with him, during the question-and-answer period following
his lecture, the urgent questions everyone is asking con-
cerning Israel’s future. The Ambassador’s book will be
available for sale in the lobby, and he will be happy to
autograph your copy.
Julius and Shirley Feinstein and Izzy and Paula Fein-
stein are honored to present the first Akiba Institute event
of the year, the guest appearance of Israel’s former Ambas-
sador to the United Nations, Chaim Herzog, whose new
book, “Who Stands Accused?”, is currently high on the best-
seller list.

“(Herzog’s) speeches are master-
ly expositions of his views: lucid,
comprehensible, meaty . . . Mr.
Herzog’s book “Who Stands
Accused?” is one on which a
person can hone his own thinking.
No one will agree with all of it.
But the very form and shape of
his arguments give hope that
there is a rational way out of the
Middle East morass.”
