HOUSTON, Texas, Sept. 29 —
(UP)—A suicide verdict was re-
turned today in the death of Miss
Minnie Hill, 23, who fell or jump-
ed last night from a fifth flo<>
window of the Southwestern Bell
Telephone Company bull ding,
where sh^ was employed as
switchboard operator.
Investigators found no motive
other than the young woman said
several times “I would, rather be
dead,” according to co-workers.
She died without regaining
consciousness a few minutes af-
ter reaching a hospital. She had
been at work at the switchboard
until a few minutes before her
body struck the sidewalk.
Survivors include two sisters,
Mrs. Marie Mitchell of Memphis,
Tenn., and Mrs. Edith Myers of
Okmulgee, Okla.

Sept 29—(UP)—With a squad
of 26 or more of his Texas Ag-
gies, Coach Madison Bell Will
leave here this afternoon to di-
rect the Cadet onslaught against
the Green Wave of Tulane Uni-
versity at New Orleans Satur-
day.
Handicapped by the probable
loss of four injured regulars,
“Frenchy” Domingue, Charlie
Malone, George Lord and Red
Spencer, the Texans will enter
the fray tt somewlit of a disad-
vantage.
Tulane is reported to have n
strong aggregation this season, al-
though the lineup S • urd i / will
lack Dalrymple, Haynes and
Glover, stars of last year.
The Greenie line is expected to
be heavy and fairly experienced,
while the Aggies will be heavy
and experienced only in spots.
Heaviest man in the Cadet for-
ward wall will be Wharton Jor-
dan, 239-pound sophomore from
Fort Worth.
