Two people remained in the Cooke
County Jail on Monday after they were
reportedly found with a simulated
substance that appeared to be
methamphetamine in Valley View, said
Cooke County Sheriff Terry Gilbert.
Gilbert said an ongoing investigation
by the Cooke County Sheriff’s Office
Drug Enforcement Unit netted the
arrests of Norma Lee Alonzo, 45, and
Larry Stanley Hurt, 35, in the 300 block
of the 1-35 North Frontage Road on
Jan.24.
He said investigators pulled over
a 2009 Cadillac sedan occupied by
Alonzo, of Ponder, and Hurt, of Irving.
The two were in possession of a “large
quantity” of a simulated substance,
according to information provided by
the CCSO.
Gilbert said approximately 82.5
grams of a simulated substance was
recovered and the pair was charged
with unlawful manufacture or delivery
