THE CORPORATION TRUST COMPANY 120 BROADWAY NEW YORK 5, NEW YORK OAKLEIGH L.THORNE PRESIDENT May 1, 1953 Dear Squire: I doesn't seem possible that we have been away a whole month but time certainly flies when you are having a good time. You know all of our news from the telephone calls and when we have been to Millbrook you will hear about that. I haven't been down here long enough to get oriented as to what has been going on but if I hear anything interesting I will write you next week. Enclosed is my check for the air travel paid by Sugarland Industries. There will be another bill forth- coming and if you ask them to send it to me I will pay them direct. The house seems empty without Bessie and Mary Jean is in the struggles of finding a cook.
Affectionate regards to all of you.
OLT:F Enc. Mr. Daniel W. Kempner, United States National Bank Bldg., Galveston, Texas.
