In a double ring ceremony at
the Roberts Avenue Methodist
church of Beaumont, Tuesday
night. August 15, Miss Ruth La-r
vonne Hensley, daughter of Mr.
L and Mrs. Talmage Kstus Hens-
ley, became the bride of the Rev,
Robert Henry Jonte, son of Mr.
and Mrs. H. C. Jonte.
The Rev. Ellis McGauhy offi-
ciated and was assisted by Rev.
Franklin C. Hentley, grandfath-
er of the bride and Rev. Eugene
Jonte, brother of the groom. The
ceremony took place in candle-
light the altar adorned with,
palms and baskets of white, gla-
dioli and asters.
The bride was given in mar-
riage by her father. She chose
Ciel blue wool suit with hat
fashioned of blue and ,' pink
mallene with shoulder length
veil. She carried stephanotis
centered with an orchid.
xMrs. R. Elliott Dunlap, her
aunt, and matron of honor wore
beige crepe dress and matching
hala hat. She carried a colonial
nosegay of yellow carnations.
Miss Esther Schauffeur, brides
maid, wore rose crepe dress and
matching hat and carried nose-
gay of pink carnations.

corsage. Mrs. Jonte chose sheer
grey crepe and yellow carna-
tion corsage.
Mrs. Hensley, the bride’s
grandmother, wore gray crepe
with pink carnatjon corsage.
Walter Kemmey sang ‘Be
cause” and "The Lords Prayer
accompanied by organist, Mrs.
Charles Kemmey.
Assisting at the reception were
Miss Margaret Slacker, Mis* An-
na Lee Griffin, Miss Jeanne Roy-
der and Mrs. Deathridge.
The bride’s boquet centered
the table which was decorated
with a tiered wedding cake and
crystal punch service. -
The couple will make their
home at Chireno, Texas, where
