THERE’S NO GETTING AROUND IT—Luckies taste
better. And there’s no getting around that thing in
the Droodle at left, either—the Droodle’s titled:
Lucky smoker with bum seat at football game. Poor
guy is really up against it. But he’s got a swell point
of view on smoking—he smokes Luckieg for better
taste. Luckies taste better because they’re made
of fine tobacco that’s TOASTED to taste better.
Chances are our friend in Section 28 is thinking,
“This is the best-tasting cigarette I ever smoked!’'

“Because of the failure of stu-
dents to obey the rules and regula-
tions of the game room it will be
closed this week” . . . By order
of the Student Council.
This is the sign that greeted
the patrons of the game room on
Monday, November 21. As a re-
sult of this catastrophe, pool ad-
dicts, chess champions, and ping
pong fiends were to be seen pan-
dering aimlessly about the Snack
Bar with time on their hands.
Some became so desperate that
as a last resort they decided to
go to class!
A study of the game room by
the Student Union Committee re-
vealed that despite repeated warn-
ings the students still persisted
in throwing cigarette butts on the
floor, gambling, eating and drink-
ing and in general disregarding
gameroom rules.
The Student Council therefore
closed the game room from No-
vember 21 to November 28. It
was not the first time that such
action has been taken. During the
summer the game room was clos-
ed because of abuse by the stu-
dents. Game room conduct was
greatly improved.
The tables in the game room
are being equipped with signs
displaying rules and regulations.

65 Pounds of Data
A total of 27 pounds of statis-
tical data was sent to the Junior
College Council of the Texas Edu-
cation Agency, last week.
The material gave the vital
statistics of all San Antonio Col-
lege students, what courses they
were taking, how much money
they had paid, etc.
The state reports are the basis
for the state appropriations to
SAC, as SAC is partially operated
by state funds.
Compiling the report was a
monumental task, said Jerome
Weynand, registrar. It took the
office force one month and two
days to complete it.
The entire report included the
reports of SAC day and night
school, and St. Phillips day and
night school.
