Gentlemen:
My daughter, Mrs. Oakleigh L. Thorne, 876 Park Avenue,
New York, purchased from you one of your Hank Barnes' Terrace
Greenhouses which was only unpacked the day before yesterday.
It was then found that the wound spring piece attached to the round
metal ventilating disks was bent and out of order; the piece that
opens and closes automatically.
Apparently in packing the spring part of this contraption
was badly bent. I cannot see how it could otherwise have gotten
in this shape, because had the package been badly or roughly
handled, some of the glass would have broken before this metal
spring would have been hurt.
Would you kindly replace this for me and when replacing
it, advise me how I can adjust it because in the booklet it is
stated that "these metal disks open and close automatically and
no adjustments are needed, having been set at the factory to open
at 900 and to close at 350. "
