wanted in connection with an at-
tempted attack on a young white
woman at Concrete Wednesday
afternoon, is in jail at Cuero
charged with simple assault, ac-
cording to the Cuero Record.
Hicks was working on a farm
near Victoria when he was
rested late Friday afternoon,

morning, Mr. Dolsen expects to

Tourist Park which was in the
form of a big dinner and supper
was well attended. The evening’s
climax was a frolic on the new
dance pavillion, the best in this
section of the country. Several
thousand people witnessed the op-
ening of the new pavillion and ap-
proximately 200 dance tickets
were sold.
"Sledge” Wilson and his orches-
tra gave the opening numbers
which greatly pleased the pleas-
ure seekers. At a later hour in
the evening novelties, hats, and
confetti were displayed which
add’d much to the happiness of
the dancers. Another dance will
be given at the nexv pavillion Fri-
day night, June 14, with Sledge
Wilson and his orchestra playing.
