In his talk to the group,
Raskin linked his profes-
sion with what he termed
humanistic psychology and
a better understanding of

the Fidelis Class of the
First Baptist church Aug.
19 in the Fellowship Hall.
Mrs. Lewis described the
slides and snapshots and
members enjoyed the pro-
gram and felt as if they had
been on a trip to Alaska
except for the weather.

prayer of thanks for the
salad lunch which was
served to 12 members of

former teacher in Bells high
school, has been named
National Teacher of the
Year at the AHEA conven-
tion at Cincinnati.
A CVET teacher at Mon-
roe junior high school in
Tulsa, Okla., Mrs. Burnett
was honored as the Okla-
homa Teacher of the Year.
She was nominated for her
vocational program for han-
dicapped students.
Mrs. Burnett is a native
of Boswell, Okla., and re-
ceived her bachelor of sci-
ence in home economics
from Southeastern Okla-
homa State university and
master’s from East Texas
State university and has
done graduate work at Ok-
lahoma State University.
She taught in Artesia,
N.M., Bells and Whites-
boro before moving to Ok-
lahoma.
She is the mother of four
sons, Brian, 15; Rex, 13;
Scott, 11; and Mike, 8.
She and her husband,
Kenneth, are active in
church work, sports and
civic affairs.
