HOW YOU MAY THROW
AWAY YOUR GLASSES
The statement is made that thousands
wear eyeglasses who do not really need
them if you are one of these unfortun-
ates. then these glasses may be ruining
your eves instead of helping them. Thou-
sands who wear there “windows" may
prove for themselves that they can dis-
pense with glasses if they will get the
following prescription filleilat once. Go
to any active drug store and get a bot-
tle of Optona; fill a two ounce bottle
with water and drop in one Optona tab-
let. With this harmless liquid solution
bathe tin* eyes two to four times daily
and you are likely to be astonished at
the results right from the start. Many
who have been told that they have as-
tigmatism. eyestrain cataract sore eye-
lids. weak eyes conjunctivitis and other
eye disorders report wonderful benefits
from the use of this free prescription.
Get the prescription filled and use it;
you may so strengthen your eyes that
glasses will not be necessary. Thousands
who are blind or nearly so. or who wear
g’asses would never have required them
if they had eared fur their eyes in time.
Save your eyes before it is too late! Do
not become one of these victims of neg-
lect. Eyeglasses are only like crutches
and every few years they must be ehang-
i*d to fit the ever-increasing weakened
condition so better see if you can like
many others get clear healthy strong
magnetic eyes through the prescription
here given.—Advertisement.

MEXICO’S WAR DAMAGE
GENERAL UPRISING DEPRESSES
THE PRIDE OF LANDS IN ALL
STATES OF UNION.
The civil warfare that has scourged
the Republic of Mexir.) for a year or
more shows its awful effects more and
more each day in the continually in-
creasing cost of the necessities of life.
Meal costs four times its normal cost.
Meats are twice as high and corn lias
advanced to three times its average
i
price.
Vegetables are higher than ever known
before and every article of food not only
is high in price but is scarce ami hard
ito get at any price in many parts of the
republic.
This is entirely due to the neglect of
j agrarian pursuits.
Mexico's resources in the main are
j three in number and come in the order
named.
j Mining cattle raising farming.
I Up until tin* time of the breaking out
j of tin* Madero revolution tin* people
were gradually awakening to the need
for more farming and better farming
to the fact that they should have a little
piece of land for themselves on which to
raise the necessities of life.
Rut now that tin* laborer has laid
down the hoe and the scythe and has
'taken up the sabre and the gun the fer
j tile lands of Mexieo are crying out for
some one to come to them and dig for
the treasure that lies in every square
inch.
The lands have gone down and the
I prices of food have gone up.
The greatest war damage the country
has suffered comes from the loss of un-
used lands.
Every man should have a little piece
of land for himself.
Tie who owns a piece of land however
small is far ahad of the man who owns
none at all.

It is just across Demetario Resaea at

within the past few days in the vicinity
of San Carlos and .limonez. It is known
that there are fcderals in that Section
