for an udequnte system of storm
sewers will be asked of Bruce Gen-
try city engineer of San Benito at
the next meeting of the city com-
mission Mayor Scott Brown an-
nounced.
The commission is planning to in-
stall storm sewers to cost approxi-
mately $23000 before the new pave-
ment is laid. The money will be
used from the recent street improve-
ment bond issue.
Complaints have been made for
several yearn of lack of drainage
after heavy rainfall prtieuiarly in
the district around the grammar
school and east of the First Bap-
tist'church. hut the city had uo
funds available for building st<uu>
sewers or ditches except by gradrhg
out gutters.
It is planned to establish stortu j
sewers in all four divisions of the !
city carrying the water down the
-end of the present pavement out to
