tion of Temple Junior College journal-
ism classes. Opinions expressed do not
necessarily reflect those of the faculty
or administration. Leopard Tales is
published weekly at Temple Junior
College, 2600 S. First St., Temple,
Texas. Two thousand copies are printed
and distributed free to students, faculty,
staff and institutional correspondents.
Leopard Tales is a member of the
Texas Junior College Press Association
and the National News Bureau.
Unless otherwise indicated, all stories

well-organized program that will draw as
many student and faculty members as
possible.”
“The intramurals give everyone a
chance to compete in sports that they
otherwise couldn’t be involved in, and the
student-faculty recreation nights create a
better relationship between the students
and teachers.”
The recreational nights will be 7-10
p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, and 6-9
p.m. on Sundays.
With a T.J.C. identification card,
students and faculty can take advantage
of racketball courts, a heated swimming
pool, and other recreational equipment.
Two returning lettermen from last
year’s team: Randy McClure and
Carl Grafe.

Dale Wells, the new intramural and
recreation director who replaces Randy
Jones, has announced the instigation of
coeducational divisions in two of the
intramural sports that will be offered this
fall.
Both basketball and volleyball will have
co-ed divisions as well as the same
men’s, and women’s categories formerly
featured.
“I feel that co-ed activities will go over
well and be a big success,” Wells said.
Other sporting events for the fall
include tennis, possibly with mixed
doubles, flag football, and racketball.
“We are currently unsure of the tennis
and spring golf programs because we
don’t know how many participants they
