RAILROAD ACCIDENTS
In the United States for a period
of seventeen years ending 1939, there
were 32,423 persons killed and 103,■
115 injured in accidents between trains
and motor vehicles on highway, road,
and streets crossing at grade. In
about M per. cent of these accidents
train was struck by the vehicle, while

Quite a number of relatives and
friends from different parts of the
state attended the funeral of J. 8. Mun
ray Wednesday morning. The entire
community was saddened by hia death.
Henry Baker of Navasota was trans-
acting business here Monday-

aotu were guests in our little city Sun-
day afternoon.
The home of Mr. and Mrs. Glarence
Floyd caught fire Sunday morning and
had it not ta'en for the timely help of

Mlaa Adelle Murray left Sunday aft-
ernoon for Huntsville where she will
resume her duties in the school room
after an absence of two weeks owing
to the illness and death of her father.
She was accompanied by her mother
who will remain with her for a while.
