The Parents Came
To School
Please Note:
Each Friday night, just before
the Kaddish, the Rabbi reads the
names of members of their rela-
tives the anniversaries of whose
deaths have occurred during that
week—from the previous Sunday
through Saturday, according to the
Gregorian calendar. Families who
desire names to be read at a serv-
ice other than the one designated
should notify the Rabbi’s secretary.
The first PTA meetings of our
Religious school were held on No-
vember 23 and 24. Over 300 par-
ents came to school with their chil-
dren. While the children went to
their first class, the parents enjoyed
coffee.
After refreshments, the parents
went to class and the children to
assembly. Each teacher explained
the courses of study and answered
parents’ questions. Following class
attendance, all parents gathered in
the Abe M. Levy Hall for general
discussion with the Rabbis. Several
parents expressed their gratitude
for the caliber of teaching and cur-
riculum their children are receiv-
ing.
