it would be interesting to
find out who some of the

Jana Sweeney was chosen
by an impartial panel of teach-
ers for the December student
of the month.
Jana was the athletic nom-
inee; Susie Canon, FHA; Ricky
Goodwin, FFA; and Judi
Tidmore, band. These outstand-
ing students had to qualify
journey to Paducah from Liver-
lily, England, in September
of this year. Since he has been
making the trip alone in a four
foot rowboat, his journey ap-
pears to have had some rough
spots.
In October, it was reported
that he had strayed slightly off
course and washed ashore in
Greenland, where he was ob-
serving the sleeping habits of
polar bears. This report was in-
vestigated and some interest-
ing facts were disclosed.
It seems that the professor
investigated the bears so vigor-
ously that he awoke them, re-
sulting in a mad break to the
rowboat by the professor, fol-
lowed closely by the bears.
The ensuing struggle sank his
rowboat and Bestertester was
forced to stowaway on a whaling
ship bound for Alaska.
It is uncertain how the
professor was transported from
there, but reliable sources have
since glimpsed him in various
points of the Rocky Mountains
and also in the desert in
Arizona.
His whereabouts are present-
ly unknown, but we have confi-
dence that he will arrive on
schedule in Paducah on Friday,
the 13th of this month.
