Garter Center Releases
Blood Drive Statistics
Last week the Carter Blood
Center of Fort , Worth released
3 compilation of the statistics
for the blood drive held here in
December to Mrs. Mary Su£
Staig. Mrs. Staig, of the social
sciences, department was chair1,
man of the steering committee
for the drive.
Pour hundred and eight stu-
dents and professors volunteer-
ed to donate blood. Of this
number, 294 were males and
.-iJ4 were females. Fifteen of
- those who had registered were
J refused for those reasons: iron
''deficiency, six; temperature,
• twp; eczema, one; allergy shot,
J iOne; heart ailment, one; diabet-
es, one; surgery two; exposure
to malaria, one. Others were
refused because of such various
. reasons as having eaten, a. heavy
meal, gotten too little sleep,
taken excessive physical exer-

, time limit; or. not having per-
mission from parents.
