T-CAB starts anew
By JENNIFER STUART
Contributor
Tarleton Center Advisory Board,
also known as T-CAB, has
undergone intense reorganization
this year in order to better serve the
students of Tarleton State Universi-
ty, says Christine Hancock, 1987-88
president of T-CAB.
"We realized hallway through last
semester that we weren't meeting the
needs of TSU students, so we sat
down, re-assessed our goals, and re-
directed our thinking," said
Hancock.
In January, 30 of TSU's student
leaders met one evening at the home
of Ed Knoll, Tarleton Center Direc-
tor, to give direction and input con-
cerning the Center's activities. This
meeting ultimately culminated in a
proposal submitted and adopted at
the Mach 21 T-CAB Board Meeting.
This proposal, written by Student
Body President Darryl Schriver,
details duties of each vice-president
and the president of T-CAB to bet-
ter serve Tarleton students, faculty,
staff and alumni,
The new officers under T-CAB's
revised organization are: Michael
Goodrich, president; La Dena Graff,
vice president of activities; Gina
Weaver, vice president of services;
Scott Rone, vice president of
facilities, and Michelle Nance,
secretary,
T-CAB seeks to better serve TSU
through this new program of
reorganization by improving on ac-
tivities and services offered to
students by the Student Center and
renovating current facilities.
"We'll be doing a lot of work this
semester and this summer-planning
events, setting dates, writing new
policies," said Goodrich. "I'm real-
ly looking forward to next year."
T-CAB, under the advisement of
Knoll and Assistant Director Nancy
Cranfill, plans and directs all pro-
grams and services related to the
Student Center,
