November 8, 1976 this lovely couple celebrated their 71st
anniversary. Last year Mr. Frances Hagen was married to Mrs.
Lillie Hagenfor the 10th time; you see every ten years they have
the priest to renew their wedding vows to each other. Mr. and
Mrs. Hagen entered the Nursing Home March 3, 1975 from a
Cuero Nursing Home Mr. and Mrs. Hagen have six children;
three sons and three daughters. They are Mrs. Lola Huddleston,
Yoakum; Marvin Hagen. Abilene Texas; Mrs. Edna Ward.
Victoria; Mrs. Edith Schumacher. Lester Hagen, Paul Hagen. all
of Yoakum. They also have 18 grandchildren, 32 great
-andchildren, and 7 great great grandchildren.

plentiful with lower prices at

A reception and dance were
hosted at St. Joseph's Gym
following the celemony. Serving
in the house party were Mrs.
Johnny Jiral, Miss Linda Barber,
Denton, and Mrs. Frank Bialek.
Victoria. Miss Ava Legnon and
Miss Kim Slavin, both of San
Antonio, presided over the
Brides Book.
When the bride threw her
bouquet, it was caught by Miss
Elizabeth Perez. Gary Baros
caught the blue garter.
When leaving for the
honeymoon trip, the bride was
wearing a blue pant suit and
lifted a yellow rose corsage from
her bouquet.
The bride is a 1975 graduate of
Yoakum High School. The groom
is a 1972 graduate of Stroman
High School and is now
employed in Victoria.
The couple is now at home on
Rt. 1, Victoria.
Out of town guests came from
Victoria, Dallas, Denton, San
Antonio, Houston, La Coste.
Rehearsal Dinner
Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Bialek.
Sr. hosted the dinner following
the rehearsal at La Mancha with
17 guests in attendance.

sandwiches, kolaches, nuts and

punch and coffee. Serving were
Mrs. Hilda Overgoner and Miss
Terri Pagel. granddaughter,
Mrs. Gradey Whitley and Miss
Kathy Bucek. granddaughter.
Potted gold mums received by
the couple were placed at
vantage points in the hall.
Although the couple requested
no gifts many beautiful
remembrances of their anniver-
sary were received.
A photographer was on hand
to preserve cherished memories
of the day for the family. A large
number of relatives and friends
called between the hours of 2 and
4 p.m.

Mrs. Leia Green was crowned Patient of the Month by Mrs.
Minnie Brewer for November 1976. Mrs. Green was born June 28.
1894 in Lott Bell County. She entered our Nursing Home Jan. 6.
1968 Mrs. Green loves to play bingo; she enjoys films and picnics.
Mrs. Green has one daughter, one granddaughter and one great
grandson.
On Dec. 11. 1976 their will be a birthday party for our residents.
Those celebrating will be Maude Miller. Bertha Hunt, Frank
Sassin, Agnes Raiford, Christine Meyer, Hettye Hewig, Annie
Knippa. Virgie Newson. Elizabeth Burke, Emily Sylvester,
C harles Hanzelka, Claud Karl, Hertha Hajek. Grace Evans, Erich
Schneider.
The Christmas Party for our residents this year will be Dec.
18, 1976 at 3:00 p.m. in the assembly room. Families are
requested to attend, friends are always welcome.

brocade illusion cape edged in
